Decide who sees what

Granular access control for object types and individual objects. Grant access so every app, visitor and team member sees only what they're meant to see — everything else doesn't exist for them. The same rules hold in the admin, the API and MCP: an AI agent sees no more than the person it acts for.

Change the schema without breaking apps

Every release is a snapshot of data and schema and is kept for good. One step takes you back to any earlier release. Data and schema are read independently: an app always gets the latest data in the schema it is used to — even after breaking schema changes.

Choose what goes live where

Distribute your data over as many channels as you need — a website, an app, a partner feed. Each channel serves exactly the release and languages you choose, so a test system can already see a new schema while production still reads the previous one. Going live means pointing the channel at a new release — nothing changes on the app side.

Connect any app

Two ways to authenticate. An app signs in as itself with an API key, or lets its users sign in with Roadstead over OAuth and OpenID Connect. Either way, it reads and writes only what that app or person has been granted.
